Someone is going to say “Google it” but I don’t really even know if I’ve got the terms right.

I want to rent a garage with a lift to do simple stuff: fluid changes, change shocks, etc... while my home garage is in its transitional phase.

Some place like this (not an endorsement) !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

If there isn’t a directory of these places... well that sounds like a decent project.

Someone else just recently posted about DIY garages. They are very few and far between at least in my area. I would google things like “self service automotive repair”, “DIY garage”, “Do it yourself car repair”.

I found two that are near ish to me, but I called both and neither offer DIY services anymore, so they’re just a standard garage.

TBH, I sometimes wonder if putting a want ad out on CL (or searching in your area for “lift rental/garage rental/workshop rental”) might not be your best bet. Lots of folks are gonna want longer-term deals, but you might get lucky.

‘Self service garage bays’ or similar should be a good starting point.

I want to rent a garage with a lift to do simple stuff: fluid changes, change shocks, etc... while my home garage is in its transitional phase.

Solution, lifted jeep. No jack/lift needed for any oil change. All 4 wheels stay on the ground. I used a jack and axel stands to change shocks.

I roll a creeper under the jeep and still have room for my beer.

my pathfinder is another story

We are in a catch 22. One of the cars I want to get under is my stock 93 YJ.

My TJ has a 4 inch lift and has 35 inch tires. I can almost crawl under it.
